John died of stomach cancer in Lakeview, Oregon

He is survived by his wife Cheri and sons Michiah, Dakota and Isaac Kaiser

John loved studying and probably would have made it a profession if he could. But instead, after college, and a stint in the Navy, he eventually went to work as an archaeologist for the U.S. Forest Service, based out of Lakeview. He retired there a few years back. Interesting fact: John was a third generation Eagle Scout.
