Classmate Janet Wilson Landau has planned and will conduct an interesting tour of the Albany Talking Water Gardens.

What are the Gardens?  Albany created a beautiful wetlands and natural garden area covering many acres with ponds, trees, grasses and ntive shrubs.  It provides a means for the city to cool their wastewater before discharging it into the nearby Willamette River.

The Gardens are a lovely area to walk and enjoy nature.  There are numerous small water falls which provide the talking waters.  Of the many variations on the theme of creating natural areas to help clean and cool water to be found in the U.S., in places like Tucson, Orlando, Prineville and Tualatin, the Talking Waters Garden in Albany is among the most beautiful.

Janet will insure the tour is completed in time so you can be at Avery Park by 12:00 noon on Sunday for the Potluck Picnic.

Contact Janet Wilson Landau for further tour information at e-mail :  landau.jan@gmail.com  or at telephone (541) 908-0039.
