Terry received his pharmacy degree from Oregon State University.  He worked for PayLess Drug Stores, Walgreens, and Gresham Professional Pharmacy. He loved photography and playing his guitar.

Survived by his son Nathan Wheeler of Portland, Oregon; daughter Emily Hage of Beaverton, Oregon; grandchildren Jack and Henry Hage; sisters Margo Thelen of Woodland, Washington, and Cindy Elting of Aloha, Oregon; and brother Richard Wheeler of Wood Village, Oregon.

A service will be held on January 14, 2026 at 10am at Grace Community Church, 800 SE Hogan Road, Gresham, Oregon 97080. Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
